Dónde comer en Marbella: Café Flore

¡Hola hola a todos! ¿Qué tal estáis? Como ya habéis podido ver, he reorganizado las categorías del blog. Ahora creo que está todo un poco más claro y es más fácil de navegar. Una de las nuevas categorías que estrenamos es Estilo de Vida. Como sabéis soy amante absoluta de mi querida ciudad Marbella y me gusta ser como un poco «embajadora» de ella y enseñaros todo lo que tenemos por aquí. Ya había algunos posts que iban en esa dirección, donde he hablado sobre hoteles de la zona, peluquerías, tiendas, etc. Pero ahora es como oficial, de vez en cuando escribiré posts para hablaros de experiencias muy recomendables en Marbella y alrededores, así que tomad nota si sois de aquí o si pensáis visitar esta nuestra preciosa ciudad. Vamos a inaugurar oficialmente esta sección con comida, porque ¿a quién no le gusta comer bien? 😛 En concreto vamos a hablar de un restaurante que he descubierto en el centro de Marbella: Café Flore. Ahora que estamos en Navidad y es tiempo de comidas en familia y de cenas con amigos, este sitio es un 10 de 10 para tener una reunión inolvidable. Nada más llegar te ofrecen un cocktail como aperitivo, así mientras vas esperando a los últimos rezagados en llegar (¿Quién no tiene esa amiga que siempre llega tarde a todas las reuniones? Ah, calla, que soy yo XD). Lo curioso del cocktail que me prepararon, aparte de una presentación increíble, es que estaba hecho únicamente con licores típicos italianos. Ya que esa es la filosofía de Café Flore, llevarte a hacer un recorrido por toda la gastronomía italiana, desde el norte hasta el sur.

Hello to everybody! How are you guys? As you have already seen, I have reorganised the categories of the blog. Now I think everything is a little bit clearer and easier to surf here. One of the new categories I present is Lifestyle. As you know I’m totally fan of my dear city Marbella and I love to be like an «ambassador» of it and show everything you can do around here. There are already some posts going in this direction, where I talk about hoteles from here, hair salon, stores, etc. But now it’s more official, from time to time I will write posts to talk about high recomendable experience in Marbella and surroundings, so take notes if you are from here or if you are thinking to visit our beautiful city. Let’s go to inaugurate officially this section with food, because, who doesn’t like to eat good food? 😛 In particular we are going to talk about a restaurant which I have discovered in the centre of Marbella: Café Flore. Now that we are in Christmas and it’s time of family lunch and dinner with friends, this place is a 10 out 10 to have a unforgettable meeting. As soon as we arrived, they offered me a cocktail as aperitif, so meanwhile you are waiting for the person who is late (Who doesn’t have that friend who always arrive late to all the meetings? Ah, shit, that it’s me XD). The cocktail was so interesting, first because the incredible presentation, and second because it was prepared only with typical Italian liqueurs. Because that is the philosophy of Café Flore, make a tour around the whole Italian gastronomy, from the north until the south.

Entonces llegaron los entrantes, una auténtica fiesta de sabores: Focaccia, Bruschetta clásica con verduras del huerto (tienen su propio huerto si), Straciatella de burrata con tomate y albahaca para untar en esas tostas alargadas que veis, y la Pizza Pekín, muy original y diferente ya que es con pato. Esta última os la recomiendo encarecidamente porque estaba de muerte. Yo después de los entrantes ya estaba prácticamente llena XD ¡Pero aún quedaba más! Como primer plato nos presentaron una Saltimbocca, algo así como un rulo de pollo relleno de champiñones, bacon y una especie de pesto que estaba de escándalo. Como segundo era el turno de los Espaguetis Carbonara. Visto así puede parecer muy simple, pero para nada, fue todo un espectáculo porque nos hicieron la pasta dentro de un enorme queso parmesano. Si, si, como lees, DENTRO de un queso. Flamean el queso, echan la pasta, la remueven bien con un chorrito de nata para que coja mucho queso y lo presentan en unas sartenes antiguas con bacon crujiente y una yema de huevo. Una autentica maravilla, la mejor carbonara que he comido en mi vida 😀 Para muestra, las fotos 😉 Y ya para rematar esta pasada de menú, cerramos con un Tiramisu como postre. Nada, que volví rodando a casa 😛 Bueno pues aquí tenéis una de mis recomendaciones personales para comer en Marbella, estas fechas son geniales para sorprender a vuestra familia y amigos con un sitio así, les va a encantar. Then it arrived the starters, an authentic tasty party: Focaccia, Classic Bruschetta with vegetables from the vegetable garden (they have their own, yes), Straciatella of burrata with tomate and basil to spread in that long breads, and the Pizza Pekin, very original and different because it’s with duck. I highly recommend this last one because it was delicious. After the starters I was already full XD But we ordered more! As main course they presented us a Saltimbocca, something like a chicken roll with mushrooms, bacon and a pesto that it tasted like heaven. As second course it was the turn of the Spaguethis Carbonara. It looks like simple right? Not at all! It was a show because they made us the pasta inside a huge parmesano cheese. Yes, yes, as you read, INSIDE a cheese. They flambe the cheese, put in the pasta, and stir very good with a stream of cream to take much cheese, and they present it in a old pans with crispy bacon and a yolk of egg. An authentic wonder, the best carbonara I have ever tried in my life 😀 If you don’t believe me, take a look to the pictures 😉 And to end this super menu, we tried a Tiramisu as dessert. So, I came back home rolling 😛 Well, here you have one of my personal recommendations to eat in Marbella, these dates are wonderful to surprise your family and friends with a place like this, they will love it.
