Desde El Lago con amor: Ideas para San Valentín 2017

¡Hola hola! Ya queda menos para el temido 14 de Febrero, ese día del año en el que nunca se acierta con los regalos, ni sabemos que ponernos, ni como maquillarnos… un total desastre. Pues ya podéis relajaros porque hoy yo voy a haceros todo el trabajo, vengo a proponeros un sitio maravilloso para celebrar San Valentín y, además, a daros ideas y opciones para un estilismo muy bonito. Más fácil imposible ¿no? Empecemos con el plan, así podemos elegir luego como tenemos que vestirnos (los que no seáis de Marbella o alrededores, quedaos también hasta el final, puedo echaros igualmente una mano). ¿Qué me diríais si os dijera que podéis pasar la noche más romántica del año en un increíble restaurante con una Estrella Michelín y con un menú delicioso a un precio asequible para la gente joven? No, no os estoy mintiendo 😛 Hoy nos vamos a hasta el Restaurante El Lago de Marbella para conocer en primicia su menú especial para San Valentín. Para los que no conozcáis este restaurante, El Lago se encuentre en la zona de Elviria, de hecho es la casa-club del campo de golf de Greenlife Golf. Por lo que el primer punto a favor es el enclave donde vamos a comer. El segundo punto es que el menu es muy extenso, está todo delicioso y la relación calidad/precio es inmejorable. Pero primero vamos a verlo en detalle 😉 (chicos, vosotros también tomad nota).

Hello hello! 14th of February is coming, that day of the year when you never hit the target with the presents, and you don’t know what to wear or how do your makeup…a total disaster. So right now you can relax because today I’m going to do all the job, I’m here to propose you a wonderful place to celebrate Valentine’s Day and, besides, give you ideas and options for a beautiful look. Easier impossible, right? Let’s start with the plan, then we can choose later how dress up (the ones who are not from Marbella or nearby, please also stay until the end, I can lend you a hand). What do you say if I tell you that you can spend the most romantic night of the year in a incredible restaurant with a Michelin Star and with a delicious menu with a affordable price for young people? No, I’m not lying 😛 Today we are moving to El Lago Restaurant in Marbella to discover their special menu for Valentine’s Day. For those who don’t know the restaurant, El Lago is in the neighbourhood of Elviria, in fact, it’s the house-club of the golf course from Greenlife Golf. So the first good point is the place where we are going to eat. The second one is the long menu, everything is delicious and the relation between quality and price is unbeatable. But first, let’s see it in detail 😉 (guys, take notes you too).

Nada más entrar nos encontramos con una mesa preciosa, perfecta para la ocasión, decorada con mucho gusto con los centros de mesa de Virginia Florista. Ya nos estaban esperando unos snacks para ir haciendo apetito: aceitunas de Málaga, pan artesanal hecho en el propio restaurante, un buen aceite ecológico, algunos canapés y un buen vino blanco.  Todos los alimentos de este restaurante son de pueblos de alrededores, de nuestra tierra, así que podéis haceros una idea como estaba todo. Empezamos este menú especial diseñado para San Valentín con el primero de los entrantes, las Milhojas de pollo en escabeche con foie y manzana caramelizada, para mi, IM-PRE-SIO-NAN-TES. Yo fue probar el primer plato y encontrar mi favorito, estaban de muerte y ya me di cuenta que ese menú iba a estar delicioso. El segundo entrante fue como la «ensalada» pero se trataba de un Tomate semiseco, queso de cabra de Coín, membrillo, pesto de rucula y praline de frutos secos. Un plato super original, tanto la presentación como el sabor, que estoy segura os encantaría. El tercer plato fue Pulpo a la parrilla con crema de patata asada y trufa. El pulpo estaba super tierno y tostadito, el sabor de la crema es indescriptible y el toque final de la trufa le iba genial. Yo ya estaba bien llena ¿eh? Pero aún quedaba el primero, una buena Presa ibérica en manteca con ñoquis de patata, espinacas y yema de huevo. Un 10 para los grandes amantes de la carne. Pero yo, como buena postrefan que me considero (¿postreadicta? ¿postreamante?), casi me muero cuando vi el postre… Era un pastelito de chocolate, con un crujiente de chocolate, con helado de chocolate, con TODO DE CHOCOLATE Y, para rematar, una sopa de avellana que la echan por encima cuando sirven el plato… Si, ya, perdón, dejo de salivar XD Y lo mejor es que puedes disfrutar de todo esto, con estas increíbles vistas.

As soon as we went into, we found a beautiful table, perfect for the occasion, decorate meticulously with the floral centrepieces by Virginia Florista. Some snacks were waiting for us to whet our appetite: olives from Malaga, artisanal bread made in the own restaurant, a good eco olive oil, some canapés and a good white wine. All the ingredients in this restaurant are from villages around here, from our won land, so you can figure out how delicious was everything. We started this special menu designed for Valentine’s Day with the first starter, the Millefeuille of Chicken in brine with foie and caramelised apple, for me, A-MA-ZING. I tried this first plate and I found my favourite, it was to die for, and I already knew this menu was going to be fantastic. The second starter was like the «salad» but it was a Medium-dry Tomato, goat cheese from Coín, quince, arugula pesto and praline of dried fruit and nuts. A very original dish, the presentation as well as the taste, I’m sure you would love it. The third plate was Grilled Octopus with baked potato cream and truffle. The octopus was great, very tender and toasted, and the flavour of the cream is indescribable and the final touch of the truffle was a perfect detail. Well, I was already full, but it was the turn for the main course, a good Iberian Prey in butter with potato gnocchi, spinach and yolk. A 10 for the meat lovers. But I, as a good dessert fan (dessert addict? dessert lover?), almost died when I saw the dessert… It was a chocolate pie, with crispy chocolate, with chocolate ice cream, with EVERYTHING OF CHOCOLATE AND, to top it off, a hazelnut soup served on the dish…Okey, enough, sorry, I stop to drool XD And the best is that you can enjoy all this, with this incredible view.

En lo referente al estilismo, yo quise vestirme como lo haría si fuera con mi pareja a disfrutar de una cena de San Valentín de este tipo, y así también poder enseñaros un ejemplo de look para esta ocasión. Elegí este vestido de encaje negro de Zara, tiene un corte que favorece mucho y el negro es un color que nunca falla. Pero me pareció interesante añadir un toque de color rojo al outfit, para hacer un poco de guiño a San Valentín, y decidí hacerlo en los tacones. Escogí esos taconazos rojos de Bershka, a los que le puse unos calcetines negros, una de las tendencias de la temporada (tacones + calcetines). Aunque suela decirse que San Valentín es un invento de las tiendas para vender y demás, me parece importante tener al menos un día al año en el que celebrar tu amor con tu pareja. Siempre lo digo, prefiero mil veces pasar una buena cena con mi chico que recibir algún regalo material. Los objetos se rompen, se pierden, pasan de moda… Pero las experiencias siempre quedan ahí guardadas. Vale, a ver nadie le hace ascos a un regalito jeje pero me refiero que me conformaría con pasar ese tiempo con esa persona. Además, el menú que os he contado vais a poder degustarlo durante todo el mes de Febrero y siempre al mismo precio, han decidido hacerlo así para que todo el mundo pueda tener su propio San Valentín, incluso si no es el 14 de Febrero. Podéis hasta reservar un estudio allí y pasar la noche en ese precioso lugar. Así que gente de Marbella y alrededores, con o sin novio (yo iba tan tranquila a cenar con mis amigas solteras, vamos), ya tenéis el plan hecho. Regarding to the outfit, I wanted to dress up like If I were going to have dinner with my couple to enjoy a such a Valentine’s Day dinner, so then I can also show you a example of look for this occasion. I chose this black lace dress from Zara, it has a nice shape and the black is a color which never fails. But I thought it would be interesting to add a touch of red to the outfit, to make a wink to Valentine’s Day, so I decided to do it in the heels. I took those red high heels by Bershka, and I wore black socks under them, one of the trends of the season (heels + socks). Although people use to say that Valentine’s Day is an invent of the store to sell more and so on, I think it’s importante to have at least one day in the year to celebrate your love with your couple. I always say that I prefer one thousand times more a good dinner with my boy, than receive a material gift. Objects break, lose, out of style…But experiences will always keep in your heart. Well, nobody rejects a small gift jeje but I mean that for me it would be enough just with spend that time with that special person. Besides, this menu is going to be available during the whole month of February, and always at the same price, they have decided to do it in this way for all the people can have their own Valentine’s Day, even if it’s not the 14th of February. You can even book a studio there to spend the night at that magic enclave. So, people from Marbella and surroundings, with boyfriend or not (I would go with my singles friends without problems), you already have a plan.
