¡Hola queridos amigos! Agosto se nos va y Septiembre está llamando a la puerta. Comienza una bonita época de bodas y ya me estáis mandando miles de mensajes pidiéndome que os eche una mano con vuestros looks. Así que he pensado en hacer un post con las cositas que he ido encontrando, todo de tiendas «poco habituales» para no aparecer el día de la boda e ir igual que la invitada de enfrente. Obviamente el look que podríamos llevar a primeros de Septiembre es totalmente diferente al look que se lleva a finales de Octubre. Así que voy a intentar hacer un mix y enseñaros un poco de todo. Hace unas semanas, en colaboración con la fotógrafa Mary Belan, sacamos unas fotos preciosas de inspiración para novias, así que he pensado en dejarooslas también por aquí. Me encanta el estilo de las fotos y me hacía muchísima ilusión enseñároslas todas. Hello dear friends! August is almost gone and September is knocking the door. It starts a beautiful time of weddings and you are already sending me thousands of messages asking me for help with your looks. So, I have thought in doing a post with some things I have found, from «not typical» stores, better in this way because we can avoid other guests with our same dress. Obviously, the look that we would wear in the beginning of September is totally different to the look you would wear at the end of October. So, I’m going to try to do a mix and show you a little bit of everything. Some weeks ago, in collaboration with the photographer Mary Belan, we took some gorgeous pictures as inspiration for brides, so I have thought to leave you them here too. I love the style of the pictures and I was so excited to show you them. SHORT AND MIDI DRESSES
Los vestidos cortos y a media pierna siguen siendo la prenda estrella de las bodas de día. Aunque esto no quiere decir que no podamos usarlos para bodas por la tarde/noche. Debemos optar por colores más apagados: verdes, azules, malvas… Podemos recurrir a estampados, pero alejándonos, por ejemplo, de grandes y coloridas flores. Estampados discretos, encajes y tul son buenas opciones para esta época del año.
Short and midi dresses are still being the master piece for daytime weddings. Although, that doesn’t mean that we can’t use them for evening weddings. We must opt for more muted colours: greens, blues, mauves… We can go to prints, but not using, for example, big and colourful flowers. Discreet prints, laces, chiffons are good options for this time of the year.

FOR ELEGANT WEDDINGS
Para bodas elegantes y por la tarde/noche se recomienda siempre usar algo largo. Un vestido muy especial sería genial para este tipo de ocasión. Yo os aconsejo vestidos sencillos, algunos de ellos pueden tener algunos detalles que llamen la atención, como brillos, encaje, o escotes pronunciados. Igualmente, como ya no estamos en puro verano, debemos alejarnos de estampados muy llamativos.
For night time and elegant weddings is recommended to use always something long. A very special dress would be great for this type of occasion. I advice you plain dresses, some of them can have some daring details, like sparkles, lace o a sexy neckline. Equally, as we aren’t in pure summer anymore, we should leave behind very striking prints.

THE NEW BLACK: BLUE NAVY
Como todos sabemos, el negro no es un color muy adecuado para una boda (al menos no un vestido largo negro, no pasa nada si son unos pantalones o un top). Por eso el azul marino se está coronando como el nuevo negro para las bodas. Podemos encontrar vestidos preciosos en diferentes tonalidades de azul marino, que pueden ser una gran opción para una ocasión así, sobre todo si es por la tarde/noche. Con manga larga, encaje, escote bardot, tul…
As everybody knows, black isn’t an appropriate color for a wedding (at least not a long black dress, it doesn’t matter if they are pants or a top). That’s why blue navy is being crown as the new black for weddings. We can find beautiful dresses in different tones of blue navy, which can be a great option for a occasion like this one, above all for night time weddings. With long sleeve, lace, bardot neckline, chiffon…

JUMPSUIT ADDICTION
Los monos son siempre una buena alternativa para una boda. No son tan formales como un vestido largo, por lo que podrían servirnos tanto para una boda de día como para una de noche, sobre todo si esta última es una boda más informal. Yo aconsejaría un mono largo o a media pierna, dejando los monos cortos más para puro verano. Os he querido dejar un mix de monos, algunos de manga larga o manga al codo, y otros de manga corta o sin ella. Así podéis adaptarlo a Septiembre u Octubre y la ciudad donde sea la boda (no es lo mismo una boda en Marbella que una boda en Burgos jajaja).
Jumpsuit are always a good alternative for a wedding. They are not so formal as a long dress, so they are cool for a daytime wedding as well as for a night time one. I advice you to wear a long or midi jumpsuit, leaving the short jumpsuits for pure summer. I wanted to create a mix of jumpsuits, some of them with long sleeve or french sleeve, and others with short sleeve or without. Then you can adapt them to September or October and the city where is the wedding (it’s not the same a wedding in Marbella than a wedding in Scotland hahaha)

SKIRTS & PANTS
Por otro lado, hay muchas mujeres que prefieren llevar una prenda arreglada con algo más básico para así poder «reutilizarla» para otra ocasión. Obviamente, un vestido largo muy arreglado es difícil poder darle otro uso, por eso, para este caso, las faldas y los pantalones son una muy buena opción. Si es posible podemos comprar el conjunto completo de falda o pantalón (mismo estilo de parte de arriba y de abajo) y ya para otra ocasión utilizar una parte de arriba básica. Yo os recomiendo faldas/pantalones de tul, voluminosos, con volantes o flecos… en definitiva que tengan algo especial y llamativo que podamos combinar con un top o camisa más sencilla.
On the other hand, there are many women that prefers to wear a elegant garment with something more basic, then you can «reuse» it for other occasion. Obviously, it’s very difficult to find other use for a formal long dress, that’s why, for this case, skirts and pants are a very good option. If it’s possible we can buy the whole outfit of skirt o pants (the top part has the same style than the bottom one) and then for other occasion use a basic top part. I recommend you chiffon or voluminous skirts/pants, with flounces or fringes… definitely, they have to have something special and daring, that we can combine with a more plain top or shirt.
